CLOUDSCAPE Confirmed For Sweden's ROCKHIMLEN Festival
January 23, 2007Sweden's CLOUDSCAPE has been confirmed for the Rockhimlen festival, set to take place July 13-14 in Helsingborg, Sweden. Part of the proceeds from the concert will go to "Barncancerfonden" (Children With Cancer). The festival billing is shaping up as follows (in alphabetical order):

CLOUDSCAPE will enter RoastingHouse studio in Malmö, Sweden on September 3 to begin recording its as-yet-untitled third album. "The plan is to have the album finished and released worldwide in early 2008," the group writes on its web site. "CLOUDSCAPE will once again work with Pontus Lindmark and Anders 'Theo' Theander at the production helm."
CLOUDSCAPE's video for the song "Demon Tears" has been posted online at this location. The clip was directed, filmed and edited by Rainer Holmgren and will be included on the ProgPower UK DVD sampler, which will be available during the ProgPower UK festival on March 31, 2007. 11 actors are featured in the video, including Andy Pierce, who is the lead singer in the Swedish glam rock band NASTY IDOLS. Director Rainer Holmgren also appears in the clip in a boxing match scene.
"Demon Tears" comes off CLOUDSCAPE's sophomore album, "Crimson Skies", whcih was released in the U.S. in July 2006 via Nightmare Records. Artwork for the album was created by Mattias Norén.
